Speculation, but t hat seems like a really interesting fix for the exhaust systems since leaving the exits low down and centered ( or even the traditional quad-outlet split between sides) would have likely nerfed the diffuser needed to allow them to get the aero for the higher speeds. However, if they had of moved the center exhaust up higher, they would have not only lost the signature rear lighting but would have needed a complete redesign of the rear end which would definitely mean redesigning and retesting all the aero for the car.
T hat vertical stacking of the exhaust seem s like a really clever and (relatively) cheap move to not destroy all the testing while adding in what was needed to achieve the speeds “ relatively” safely and reliably.

The rear end was pretty much completely redesigned anyway. Yes they used the same light bar but the whole tail section is elongated and reengineered vs the standard car. I’m sure they had to retest all the aero to get those speeds.

A Bugatti Longtail works very well.
